Today I have some snapshots of the latest Autumn/Winter children's clothes at Sainsbury's. They retail their clothing under the brand TU and for Autumn Sainsbury's have brought us Owls, woodland flora and fauna, and ducks in the rain. For winter there are plenty of bear designs for boys, either camping style, skiing, or in woolly hats. For girls their are Scandinavian style birds. Here are my picks of the boldest prints and patterns snapped this week.
Talking of Sainsbury's I noticed that they have recently repackaged their own label bakery products using repeat pattern designs. Just a little mention really but it caught my eye as I love to see pattern in use wherever it pops up.

Today's P&P posts focus on strong graphics - starting with the work of Sydney based artist Kate Banazi. Originally from London Kate studied at the prestigious art school 'Central St. Martins'. She creates striking screen printed works and collages featuring geometric shapes and lines that give an optical illusion of depth. In 2016, Kate was one of twelve artists, designers and architects selected to represent the best of Australian creativity at Milan Design Week. Besides her artworks which are sold in galleries she also takes on commissions and has designed for Urban Outfitters, Vogue, Sony and Converse. You can find out more about Kate and her work online here.
